Hub Panostamo
Hub Panostamo is a business hub and community based in Kuopio, operated by the local startup support association. Its goal is to build an open business community and network of expertise, offering local companies a shared platform and supportive environment for growth. Members of the hub have access to maintained facilities, an entrepreneurial community, and a range of events and services developed through an incubator project funded by the Regional Council of North Savo.
A community-driven business hub needed a digital base
As a new initiative, Hub Panostamo needed a completely new website to promote its services, share news and events with members, and present its activities clearly. The site needed to be stylish, user-friendly, and easy to manage. In addition, Hub Panostamo required internal and external communication plans to support its operations and engagement goals.
The website had to clearly present what Hub Panostamo is about. It needed to feature room booking options, upcoming events, current news and contact details – all easily accessible. For those interested in booking a space, the goal was to make getting in touch as smooth as possible via an online form.
Website, communications and practices designed to support growth
We built Hub Panostamo’s website and communication solutions in collaboration with other regional partners. The site was implemented using the latest version of WordPress and trusted plugins. Hurja also developed an internal communication plan and provided onboarding for Slack, the chosen communication tool.
Project scope
With WordPress plugins, we added tailored features, SEO tools and security elements. The package also included clear user instructions for content creators working with the site’s admin panel.
The visual design of the site was created by Grafiant. Based on their layout, we built a custom WordPress theme. The site was developed using WordPress’s Gutenberg editor, which makes it easier for non-technical admins to manage content and gives developers a flexible foundation for future customization.
The internal communication plan outlined how different channels should be used and included a proposed yearly communication calendar. The aim was to strengthen the sense of community, improve the reach and clarity of communications, and support collaboration. The plan also addressed the needs of the board, including better reach, timeliness, and security of internal communications.
We continue to maintain Hub Panostamo’s site through our WordPress maintenance service, keeping everything updated and secure. The use of separate development and production environments ensures smooth future development as operations grow.

Hub Panostamo now has a stylish, easy-to-use website that’s also simple to manage behind the scenes. All of the hub’s services and spaces are clearly presented, and visitors can quickly find the information they need.
The team can now easily update site content and share information about community events like mentoring nights and after-work gatherings. The site also strengthens the hub’s role as a communication channel and visibility tool, helping to grow an open and connected business community.
With a well-designed site and a clear communications strategy, Hub Panostamo now has a solid digital foundation for encouraging collaboration, engaging members and building a shared space where businesses can grow together.
