MFKA-Kustannus Oy, owned by the Finnish Association of Teachers of Mathematics, Science and Technology (MAOL ry), produces nationwide exams and educational materials for schools and other educational institutions.
Online store replaced a manual ordering process
Previously, MFKA’s learning materials were ordered via a separate online form (Questback). While the setup worked in principle, it involved many manual steps — order data had to be transferred between systems by hand. This slowed down the process and consumed valuable resources.
The goal was to modernize the entire ordering workflow. MFKA needed a website platform that would support an online store and allow them to showcase and sell products directly through the site — efficiently and reliably.
WooCommerce-powered store with integrated financial management
We built a new WooCommerce online store on a WordPress-based website. The platform offers wide flexibility for customization, which allowed us to tailor the solution precisely to MFKA’s needs. We implemented additional features based on MFKA’s requests, such as bulk discounts and multiple shipping options depending on the order type and volume.
To streamline financial processing, the store was integrated with Netvisor, MFKA’s accounting and financial management system. This integration was implemented using Flashnode’s service.
Thanks to the integration, all order data is automatically transferred from the online store to Netvisor, where the orders can be handled as invoices. This eliminates the need for manual data entry and significantly speeds up the process.
The site’s visual design was created by advertising agency Grafiant. The look and feel align seamlessly with MFKA’s professional brand — clear, structured and approachable.
Smoother ordering process and modern customer experience
The new online store has significantly streamlined MFKA’s order and sales process. Manual steps have been minimized, and all order data is transferred automatically into Netvisor for invoicing. The entire process, from order to payment, now runs smoothly and efficiently.
From the customer’s perspective, the experience is clearer and more intuitive: browsing materials, selecting products, and completing an order can all be done easily in one place. Order confirmations and the payment process are also straightforward and reliable.
The online store now serves both MFKA’s internal team and its customers more effectively, supporting the organization’s operations and growth.
We also completed a separate website project for MAOL ry, the parent organization of MFKA.
