Sustainability work

Sustainability work at Hurja began in 2022 through the Purpose2030™ project, in which sustainability was integrated into the company’s strategy and everyday operations. This work is guided by a sustainability programme that covers environmental responsibility, social responsibility and economic responsibility.

Sustainability work is carried out in a systematic manner, and its progress is monitored regularly. The responsible use of technology is also guided by our own ethical principles for the use of AI. The implementation of the sustainability programme and its key measures are described in the sustainability report published annually.

We’re a carbon neutral software company

In 2024, Hurja was granted the Carbon Neutral label by Code from Finland ry, officially recognizing us as a carbon neutral software company. But that’s just one step, We’re committed to doing more for the environment, now and in the future.

To keep the label, we must measure our carbon footprint, take action to reduce it, and compensate the rest every single year. No room for complacency.
