Hurja published a VSME-compliant sustainability report
Hurja has published its first sustainability report, which summarises the company’s sustainability work and its progress. The report highlights how sustainability is an integral part of the company’s operations, decision-making and customer service, and what kind of goals have been set for sustainability work.
The report describes how responsibility is implemented from the perspectives of environmental responsibility, social responsibility and good governance as part of everyday life and strategy.
VSME brought a clear structure to reporting
The responsibility report has been prepared in accordance with the basic module of the VSME standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs). VSME is a voluntary sustainability reporting framework aimed at SMEs, providing a clear and consistent way to structure and communicate sustainability work.
The standard brings together the key themes of responsibility work and presents them to stakeholders in an understandable and comparable manner.
Reporting as part of ongoing responsibility work
The responsibility report supports the continuity of responsibility work and open communication. The aim is to monitor development in a systematic manner and to keep responsibility as part of everyday activities and decision-making.
The responsibility report will be published for each financial year in order to ensure that the progress of the work is transparent and comparable in the long term.
Further information on the VSME standard can be found on the website of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG).
